UTA Umpires Course Prepares Officials for November Championships

The UTA Umpires Course, held on 10 October 2026, brought members together to develop their understanding of officiating ahead of the UTA Inter Club Championships on 8 November 2026.

Umpires play an essential role in Taekwon-Do competition. Their knowledge, concentration and consistent decision-making help create a safe, fair and positive experience for competitors of all ages and grades.

Supporting Safe and Fair Taekwon-Do Competition

For students entering their first tournament, stepping onto the competition floor can be both exciting and challenging. Experienced competitors also rely on officials to apply the rules fairly and maintain clear standards throughout each event.

Preparing our umpires is an important part of supporting those experiences. The course provided an opportunity for attendees to strengthen their knowledge and build confidence in their responsibilities as competition officials.

Umpiring also offers members another way to develop within Taekwon-Do, contribute to their association and support fellow students.

Looking Ahead to the UTA Inter Club Championships

With the UTA Inter Club Championships taking place on 8 November 2026, today’s course formed an important part of the preparations.

The championships will bring UTA clubs together, giving students the opportunity to test their skills, gain competition experience and demonstrate the respect and sportsmanship at the heart of Taekwon-Do.

Thank you to everyone who attended the course and committed their time to developing as an umpire. Your contribution helps make these events possible and supports a positive competition experience for our students.

We look forward to seeing our competitors, officials, instructors and supporters come together on 8 November.
